Purpose

Dr. Andrew A. Robinson became the first principal at William M. Raines Senior High School in January 1965. Through his vision for creating a foundation for academic excellence and empowering students to utilize knowledge and wisdom as a means of improving the quality of life for themselves and the community in which they live and serve.

Named in honor of Dr. Robinson, the purpose of this award will be to extend the academic ideals and enhance the opportunity for academic excellence of students attending William Marion Raines Senior High School who desire to extend their education beyond their high school diploma.

This award will be presented to several outstanding senior students who demonstrate outstanding Academic, Service, and Leadership qualities while at Raines High school.

The award gift will be in an amount of $500.00 each year and will serve as many students as donations can afford.

Criteria

The individual must have a 3.0 or above GPA to qualify for the award and be in good academic and social standings at the school.

Give a minimum of 50 hours of Community Service and/or Leadership Service.
